Is OwneetOS free?
Yes: free to use, share and change, under the GPL.
Do I need a mouse or a keyboard?
No. Everything works with a controller, from installing it to playing. A mouse and a keyboard still work if you like.
Which controllers work?
Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and most others, wired or wireless. The first one pairs by itself.
Will my Steam games run?
Most of them, Windows games too. Games whose anti-cheat needs Secure Boot do not.
Can I keep Windows?
Not yet: OwneetOS uses the whole disk. Installing next to Windows comes later.
Can I watch films and listen to music?
Yes: your streaming services and your own files, with the controller.
What if an update goes wrong?
You can go back to how it was before.
Does OwneetOS collect my data?
No. No account, no telemetry. Crash reports are sent only if you agree.
How do I report a problem?
